Unfortunately, I wasn\u2019t able to beta read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Stars-That-Govern-Us\/dp\/B08P8QKCY4\">The Stars that Govern Us<\/a> and it was only recently when I finally had the chance to take it on. Taking absolutely nothing away from FFB, I think Stars is better; Jen\u2019s writing is maturing from it\u2019s already lofty level. I loved Alec in FFB, I love him even more in Stars. It was great getting to know Pete better as well. And I was enthralled with the \u2018race\u2019 to develop the heart lung machine. At times tearful, it\u2019s also triumphant and shows that strong wills can overcome personal demons &#8211; if they\u2019ll allow themselves to. I can\u2019t wait to read whatever else Jen produces, I consider her writing on par with the best authors I\u2019ve enjoyed over my life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I read Jen\u2019s Five Fathoms Beneath as a beta reader and loved it.
