For a number of months now I’ve been itching to write a follow-on work to The Dominatrix Wore Red<\/a>, a murder mystery and my first completed screenplay.\u00a0 Whilst on vacation for three weeks, I wrote the first draft.\u00a0 Though I wrote it in prose format, which I still find is easier than screenplay format, I estimate it’s probably around 65 pages, or, as usual, woefully short of my goal of around 100 pages.\u00a0 I have BlueDom<\/a> with an editor now. Hopefully she’ll be full of suggestions to lengthen the story without bloating it.<\/p>\n

Is it narcissistic<\/a> to think I’ve written something really clever and interesting?\u00a0 I strongly feel if RedDom is a “juicy role<\/a>” for an established actress, BlueDom will seal the deal.\u00a0 The first is Hap’s movie, in that it follows the detective around and he’s in every scene.\u00a0 This is Elise’ movie, so instead of the remote, ambiguous person she is in the first, viewers will get to learn a great deal about her in this one.<\/p>\n

I intend first has a distinct vibe from the second.\u00a0 While the characters are the same, I don’t want it to feel like a clone of the first.\u00a0 Hopefully, though, it will remain familiar enough that those who enjoy the first will enjoy this one as well.<\/p>\n

I’ve read in a number of places that having a couple of related scripts is the best thing in the event a producer gets interested.\u00a0 First, it shows that you can write more than one, but second, it shows the producer that there’s viable potential to have a series, which seems to be all the rage now.\u00a0 I’m toying with continuing the color aspect, but have only the most vague thoughts on green, for envy, and gold, for some sort of treasure.\u00a0 Maybe if I’m able to generate some success, I’ll be able to come up with more ideas.<\/p>\n
